Abstract

Transportation problems are generally related to logistics distribution from several sources of products with limited capacity to several destinations that require certain quantities to be optimal. Study aim to analize optimum logistics distribution.Methode by simulation data of factory with certain capacity to 4 warehouse with certain requirement. The factories and warehouses are located in different locations and transportation costs from each factory to each destination is different. Initial solution by Least Cost Method, then optimization use MODI method. The results of the two simple transportation methods are proven to be able to show distribution optimization, by reduce cost 8,43 %.

Abstract

A Web-based learning has been developed to facilitate the cadets of ship officers in preparing for onboard practice. The learning thematic material for marine practice preparation is carried out using a web-based learning of multimedia on the stemparala.or.id. The purpose of this study was to determine the achievement of the cadets' cognitive aspects, the improvement of the cadets' cognitive aspects, and the effectiveness of web-based multimedia learning on the stemprala.or.id. The study used teh quantitive approach and a quasi-experimental method with a Randomized sample Pretest-Posttest Design research design with 41 cadets from 120 cadets who were ready to work-practice on the sea. Quantitative data obtained from pretest and postest of cadet, The sampling technique in this study was random sampling technique. The results of the study showed that the achievement of cadet knowledge in the cognitive aspect was increased with a significant difference between pretest and posttest achievements. The achievement of the cadets' cognitive aspect, the average posttest cadets' cognitive achievement was significantly greater than the average cadets' pretest achievement. Improving the cognitive aspects of cadets on the use of web-based multimedia on the stemprala.or.id for the cognitive aspects of cadets obtained a score of 0.11 or (11%) in the low category. The effectiveness based on Cohen's test is 0.22, in the small category. These results provide an overview of the need to provide techniques for using thematic multimedia that are more interactive and provide more meaningful and authentic learning.

Abstract

The mininstry of sea transportatioin in an attempt new vessels and goods service system already lounching new progremme based on national single windows called inaportnet.in effectifiy inaportnet operation system, quality of human resources is very influential. Methodolgy research on this papper is quantitative methode for testing the hypothesis the influence of readiness of human resources ans infrastructures in increasing of effectiveness of shipping agency servicess based on inaportnet. Quality of human resources will be obtained as maximal cannot be separated from several factors, such as: education level, experiences, dan training. Other than human resources, one thing that support effectivity of inaportnet application is facilities that support operating of inaportnet programme. This research will be test korellations between readiness of human resources and facilities to effectiveness of shipping agency services based on inaportnet with est equipment is SPSS application. The result of the calculation of the normality test obtaied a significant level result of human resource quality (X1) is 1. 128 with n=40. Its maning 1.128>0.05. can take the resume that populaitin of readiness of human resources (X1) is normally distributed. For the normally test facilties and indrastructures variables (X2) get the result 0.666 wiyh n=40. Ite meaning 0,666 >0.05, and can take the resume that population data of facilities and infrastuctures is normal distributed. Normality test vor variable Y is found that significance level the effectiveness of shipping agency services based on inaportnet (Y) is 0.737 with n=40. And the meaning is 0.737>0.05, and can take the resume that population data of effectiveness shipping agency servicess based on inaportnet is normal distributed.

Abstract

The Design of Control Systems and Web Cameras on Smart Autopilot Unmanned Ship (SAUS) Based on Web Real Time Communications (Web-RTC) is a research conducted to develop from the results of research that has been studied by previous researchers, as well as develop according to the suggestions mentioned by previous researchers, such as displaying map data and live cameras on the web interface and being able to store ship movement data displayed on maps. And it can also be used as a monitor for the history of the trips that have been made by the ship. In conducting this research, researchers used the Web Real Time Communication (Web-RTC) method as live camea delivery and MQTT as data transmission to control the movement of the ship which was driven using an outboard motor with the help of an actuator in the form of a hydraulic engine to turn the ship. From the results and explanations that have been described by the researcher, it is concluded that to make this research a web server is needed as a place to put data in the form of MQTT Broker data, GPS delivery data and data to display the web interface. Meanwhile, to transmit realtime video from a webcam connected to a raspberry, it uses Web-RTC as a connecting medium or bridges the transmission of realtime video data. As a recommendation for further research, you can add video storage of each ship's journey, so that you can monitor all the ship's journeys and can be used as an evaluation for the next ship's journey.

Abstract

Liquid cargo carried by tankers carries a very high risk of fire, with an explosion. The environment greatly affects the success in minimizing the risk of fire on tankers. The risk of fire hazard can occur at any time, during tank washing, loading, in shipping, and in the discharging process. Combustible material, oxygen and heat in sufficient composition will trigger a fire. Inert gas which has Oxygen (O2) < 8% can be used as a fire prevention solution from cargo spaces. Many fires that occur on tankers occur during cargo operations, loading, discharging and tank cleaning. This research was conducted directly on board the ship through a case study. The study was conducted aboard MT. Gamsunoro operated by PT. Pertamina International Shipping. The number of Inert Gas fans used and the volume of the tank are fixed variables in the operation of the IGS. The parameters measured were the oxygen content of the inert gas in the main line and cargo tank. The working pressure in the cargo hold is also measured to ensure the pressure is higher than atmospheric. The results of the study found that the O2 content of the main channel decreased from 20.9% to 3.3 in 80 minutes. The average O2 content in the tank is 5.34% can be achieved with an average inerting time of 3.3 hours/tank using 1 inert gas fan. The average pressure in the tank is 782.85 mm Hg. These conditions indicate the optimal operation of the inert gas system, so that the disassembly process meets the requirements for fire prevention safety from tanker cargo spaces.

Abstract

The purpose of the following study is to describe the Problem Solving ability in the Application of Maritime Applied Physics Sub-Vector Material to Students at SMA Negeri 1 Sukorejo, this is studied because the description obtained can later be relevant to the use of learning methods and media used as steps to improve student learning outcomes. . The method used is observation and literature review . In this study the authors took the location in SMA Negeri 1 Sukorejo. Sampling used a random sampling technique in the Mathematics and Natural Sciences class which received vector material. Learning outcomes in the cognitive domain are obtained by using an instrument in the form of a Student Worksheet. It was obtained that the overall average ability of students to use problem solving steps was 99.12, meaning that it was more than 70% and this could be categorized as very capable or having very good abilities. The conclusion in this study is the analysis of Problem Solving Ability in the Application of Maritime Applied Physics, Sub Vector Material for Students at SMA Negeri 1 Sukorejo. Overall, the average ability of students to use problem solving steps is 99.12, which means more than 70% and this is can be categorized as very capable or have very good abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the occurrence of demurrage as a result of the delay in the issuance of the Sailing Approval Letter (SPB). The object of this research is a ship agency company located in Banten. This research is a qualitative research which is presented descriptively by narrating the results of observations at PT. Adi Bahari Nuansa Banten and equipped with data related to problems caused by the ship shifting process and bad weather factors that have an impact on delays in the issuance of SPB. This study shows that the ship shifting process and bad weather factors have an impact on delays in issuing SPB and cause demurrage. Collecting data on this research is done by direct observation on object research and by interview with some partipiants by random that the participants is parties involved on process of loading and unloading activiteis in PT. Adi bahari Nuansa Banten. The result oof direct observatioan oan interview get the result about both of variables on this research that is shifting and bad weather has an impact on delaying of process for issuing SPB document and the next has impact on emergence demurrage or additional cost that must be incurred by shipping company to port operator party.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of capital and the use of fishing technology in its effect on increasing the income of fishermen in Cilacap Regency by taking research samples in South Cilacap District with the largest population of fishing communities among 24 sub-districts in Cilacap Regency. The data used are primary data through direct interviews with respondents and secondary data obtained from the BPS office and the Fisheries and Marine Service Office of Cilacap Regency, using Multiple Linear Regression, with a sample of 100 respondents from the membership of HNSI Cilacap Branch. The results obtained from this study are that the capital factor and the use of technology in fishing significantly affect the income of fishing communities in Cilacap Regency. Among capital and technology, the technological factor that has the most influence on increasing the income of fishermen in Cilacap Regency.

Abstract

The issue of renewable energy is something that has often been discussed, especially since oil reserves are running low, the electricity supply that is indispensable for the sustainable development of infrastructure. One of the renewable energy sources is the marine thermal energy conversion system (OTEC). Renewable energy in time will become the mainstay of national and world energy because in fifty years an energy crisis may occur. OTEC's energy sources are re-emerging because of fears that an energy crisis will occur. The purpose of this study was to determine the mathematical model of the Popa OTEC design. The OTEC design is inseparable from the plumbing device, both cold water pipes, warm water and NH3 water. This research is a mathematical model of pipe design in a marine thermal power plant. The research begins with a literature review, namely previous research on OTEC (oceans thermal energy coversion). The results of the research are the determination of the diameter formula used to determine the pipe diameter, for cold seawater, warm seawater and NH3 or ammonia pipes. The design can be used to determine the variable diameter of the pipe with variations in discharge and flow velocity.

Abstract

The 2010 Manila amendment STCW Convention had a major update with a greater focus on technical skills called non-technical skills. Technical skills are related to handling ship equipment, while non-technical skills are often described as cognitive and communicative skills. The aim of this study was to investigate the role of instruction and assessment for developing students' professional competence in a simulation-based learning environment. This analysis draws on ethnographic fieldwork and detailed interaction analysis of videotape data from simulator training sessions in navigation courses by examining how maritime instructors utilize simulator technology for teaching and formative assessment to develop students' professional competencies. The results of this study emphasize the importance of systematic professional guidance and feedback in simulator-based training in accordance with the Regulation of the Head of Agency and Development of Human Resources for Transportation Number pk.16/BPSDMP-2017 Regarding Guidelines for Standardization of Operation Simulators.
